Experience Matters

Gregg J. Graffagnino is proud to announce his candidacy for District Judge of the 32nd Judicial District Court, Division D, serving the people of Terrebonne Parish. With more than 36 years of legal experience and a lifelong commitment to the community he calls home, Gregg brings the knowledge, integrity, and perspective necessary to serve fairly and effectively on the bench.

For more than three decades, Gregg has practiced law in Terrebonne Parish, focusing primarily on domestic law, personal injury litigation, and criminal law. His broad courtroom experience has provided him with a deep understanding of the legal challenges facing individuals and families throughout the parish. Through years of advocating for his clients and working within the judicial system, he has developed a reputation for professionalism, diligence, and respect for the rule of law.

Gregg's legal career began while attending Southern University Law Center, where he worked for the Baton Rouge law firm of Seal, Smith & Phelps. He graduated near the top of his class in 1988 before returning home to Terrebonne Parish to clerk for the Honorable Baron Bourg, then Chief Judge of Terrebonne Parish. From 1989 to 1992, Gregg practiced as an associate attorney with St. Martin, Lirette & Shea before opening his own law practice on May 1, 1992. For more than 36 years, he has remained dedicated to serving the citizens of Terrebonne Parish through his private practice.

In addition to his legal work, Gregg is an active member of the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program (JLAP), a Louisiana State Bar Association-sponsored program that assists judges and attorneys facing substance abuse and related challenges. Having maintained more than 23 years of recovery, Gregg understands firsthand the importance of accountability, perseverance, and second chances. Today, he serves as a monitor and mentor for attorneys working to overcome addiction and rebuild their lives and careers. This experience has strengthened his compassion, humility, and understanding of the struggles many individuals face.

Faith and Family

Family has always been at the center of Gregg's life. He and his wife, Kellie, have been married for 43 years. Kellie has served the community as a registered nurse in Terrebonne Parish for more than 36 years. Together they have raised their daughter, Corinne, an engineer who lives and works in Texas. Gregg's family ties run deep in Terrebonne Parish. He is the son of Dr. Frank and Adrienne Graffagnino and the son-in-law of Melvin and Mercedes Fabre Picou.

Outside the courtroom, Gregg enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking advantage of South Louisiana’s outdoor lifestyle. He is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys playing golf whenever time permits. Gregg is also the drummer and one of three founding members of the local band Bandit, which has entertained audiences in the area for years. He has been a dedicated member of Covenant Church of Houma for more than 20 years and remains actively involved in his faith community.

With decades of legal experience, a commitment to public service, and a lifetime of dedication to Terrebonne Parish, Gregg Graffagnino respectfully asks for your vote for District Judge, Division D, on November 3, 2026. He would be honored to continue serving the community with fairness, integrity, and respect for the law.
